I work in the medical field and purchased these pants to wear during work. I bought four pair in different colors. The fit was a bit off on all of them. I normally wear a 36 waist, ordered a 38 to allow space for IWB carry. The elastic meant that even without the pistol, the pants stayed put. The length is way off, I wear 30" inseam with every pair of pants I have bought my adult life. These Truspec 30"were more like a 32" with billows of cloth at my ankles. The big issue was with the waist snap on the brown pair I ordered. It began to fray around the back of the waist snap after only a month or so of owning. Within three months the button had pulled all the way through and the pants were ruined. None of the other colors had this issue. I love the pockets above the cargo pockets, Perfect for mobile phones. I doubt big screen phones will fit though. Over time those extra pockets did stretch though leading to my phone falling out frequently when seated. The gusseted crotch means no squashing the boys if you are in and out of a vehicle constantly or drive a lot. The front pockets are very shallow and have very wide openings. This means stuff falls out of my pockets constantly. The pockets are also too shallow and wide to conceal a sub-compact pistol for pocket carry. The grip of my Sig P290RS showed clearly in the wide pocket opening. The pocket openings are so wide that none of the pocket holsters I could find grabbed enough to stay in the pocket during draw. You can slip an entire holstered 290RS in a Desantis Superfly into the pocket and out without hitting the sides of the opening.

Love these pants, but needs a Velcro enclosure for the cell phone, so when your running or jumping it doesn't fall out.

Best LEO pants ever!!! Pocket preference will always be subject to personal carry items on the job but these parts are without a doubt the best "movement" pants ever. Nothing is restricting and material is breathable with a great professional look, not the often cheap rip stop look. Will buy more at any price!

I just got these pants in yesterday. I tried them on and they feel great. The pocket configuration is a little differnent, but I caould get used to it. The only issues I have with the Tru Spec Acesnt Pants is the Navy Blue is a liitle light. I wish the Navy was a little darker. I'm not worried about how the color with fade because I am used to Tru Specs and how they wear.

Great pair of pants and I love the phone pocket. Only thing that keeps them from 5 stars is them not coming in all cotton.

I LOVE these pants! I'm a climbing, ISA Certified Arborist and was looking for comfy, durable, breathable pants to work and climb in for tree work. I found them! Can't say enough about them. Highly recommend! If you're on the fence, take the leap of faith and invest. You won't be sorry! Also, a HUGE THANK YOU to all you military and police out there! I pray for your safety, and may God bless you all! Thanks Tru-Spec for a super QUALITY product! You have my profound endorsement!

The Ascent pants are my go to competition pants. Light, tough and pockets right where I need them. Sometime they feel like they are not there. That is how comfortable they are. Kneeling and going prone are no problem. The elastic waist keep the pants flexible no matter what I am doing. Great pants!!!!

I received a couple pair of these pants as a Team Hear-Pro shooter. Although a great discount, I can say when I need to purchase cargo pants again, it will most definitely be these. I have since re-purposed one pair to a lounger pants to wear around the house. These pants are so soft and flexible, they feel better than most of my worn out jeans. The AR magazine pouches above the main cargo pockets are awesome for AR magazines, cell phones, TV remotes or anything else you need to carry. I have a few pair of other Tru-Spec pants and these are by far the best ones to own. Thanks Tru-Spec for an awesome pair of pants. Oh...and thanks for the sa-weet light-weight rain jacket. It goes everywhere with me.

Got caught in the 2015 Texas floods on our road trip filming Auction Hunters for Spike. Luckily I had my Ascent Pants to help keep me dry!

These pants are winners. The mechanical stretch built into the fabric creates a superior level of comfort without sacrificing durability. These are my new favorite range pants.

I am a firearms instructor and I use these pants at work. They have a light weight but strong design. I love the tunneled pockets with room for a cell phone or air line tickets. The cut allows flexibility and comfort. I love these pants.

The 24/7 P/C pant was, no is very good. But the Ascent pant is perfect. Really. The same accessory pockets (a amazing feature, every pant should have this!!) and incredible smartphone pockets. An Apple-like innovative design. No big tacticool knife pockets - a real professional look. Oh, and a nice stretch material. Light but rugged.

I have been wearing the 65/35 teflon coated 24-7's for a couple of years now and wanted to try something else. They did not disappoint - the 'mechanical stretch' fabric makes it worth the price of admission, very light and so comfortable just wearing them or doing anything physical. I also really like the vertical pockets set behind the cargo pockets. Since these do not have the internal pockets of the 24/7 it is a good trade off. The reinforced knife pockets should be the new standard as it seems much stronger and less prone to just wearing out and getting a hole at the bottom. My only true gripe is with the slash pockets - they are cut lower and with a larger opening while the pocket itself is almost too shallow, compared to the 24/7's, which makes it much easier for things to slide out - it has happened once thus far, but I was at home. So if you are looking for a very comfortable summer-weight (I wore them all winter as well) pant to swap for 24/7's you would do well to give them a try.
