I first bought these about 4 years ago because of the shorter inseam. I’m 5’6” and most shorts cover my knees and make climbing or high knee movements difficult. Living in Florida, I wear a pear of these every day, and those I originally purchased are still in amazing condition. Only 1 snap doesn’t hold anymore, but the belt does it’s job..LOL. I especially like the cell phone pockets on either side. Being behind the cargo pocket adds extra protection from outside impact. They are so much a part of my day, and they look neat and are durable. I’ve worn them to church, woodcutting, kayaking, bushwhacking, tree climbing.... they are literally all I wear. Tru-Spec's Simply Tactical Cargo Shorts are some of the most comfortable and practical shorts I own. I wear shorts just about 365 days a year, rain or shine, hot or cold, The two drop-in pockets behind each of the front cargo pockets are ideal for cellphones (large enough for the new iPhone Xs Max), and the 9" length is perfect. I especially like the pocket for my cell phone! Customer service at Tru-Spec is amazing! I got sent two of the same color and with in 30 min of sending an email asking for a different color pair of shorts be sent, I was called by Stephanie apologizing for the error and stating she would send the correct pair out the next day, which she did! Best shorts I've owned. All pockets are heavy velcrow, lots of carry options and clean up very well. I wear these as everyday casual gear and find, when I wear other than these, I miss the pockets and comfort. Great for rainy weather also as all pockets are shielded with covers and dry out real fast. On my 5th year with three pair and they still look new.
