Great hat!!! The wife brim definitely keeps the sun off your head, ears, and neck. Very comfortable to wear. It is very water proof however it does get a little hot in the summertime. Great hat for hiking. Love it!!! Most of all, their customer service is the best anywere. I have dealt with many companies, and Tru-Spec with Stephanie Wells is the quickest to respond, most eager to help, and makes it a joy to work with. She is the best person I have dealt with in any company. So even if you have any problems with any products (within the allowable time for warranty) shoot her an email, and within a week you will have the replaced product. Bought my first one several years ago. I worked outside and it has seen a lot of rainy weather. It is still in almost perfect shape and still keeps the melon dry. Love this hat. I didn't intend on getting the water proof one, but it was the only one available in the size and color I wanted. I'm glad I did. I use it mostly for doing yard work to keep the sun off my neck and for hiking. Couple of times it started raining and the water just rolled right off. I bought this hat years ago have used it a long time. Fits perfect and comfortable still. Holds its shape and still looks like the day I bought it. The only problem I can see for Tru-Spec. is they will not be selling many replacements for such outstanding quality. UNLESS the person looses his or hers LOL. I like the idea of this hat as I prefer a rain proof wide brimmed hat instead of the hood of my rain jacket when hiking or hunting. I normally wear a 7 3/4 hat or xl however this hat was maybe only adjustable to 7 1/2 and was therefore way too small for me.
