The Modular Integrated Communications Helmet (MICH) is the primary combat helmet used by soldiers of the United States Army developed by the United States Army Soldier Systems Center to be the next generation of protective combat helmets for use by the U.S. Army. The MICH was originally part of a series of combat helmets designed for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command as a replacement for the PASGT helmet solely within those units. However, the U.S. Army later determined that the improvements presented by the high cut and brim-less MICH over the PASGT helmet warranted organization-wide distribution. The MICH is in use with all branches of the U.S. military in at least some capacity. The MICH was officially adopted as the standard issue helmet of the Air Force Security Forces. The U.S. Marine Corps evaluated the MICH during its own search for a PASGT replacement, but chose to adopt a helmet that retains the profile of the PASGT, known as the Lightweight Helmet. MICH helmets are available for purchase by law enforcement agencies and the public. They have become popular with various SWAT units and private security companies.;

Solid build quality. Ordered a LG/XL and it was too loose on a LG ACH. I like my helmet covers to be extremely tight. Other than that hiccup I have no complaints about it.Posted: September 29, 2020

I ordered two of these, one in the old desert camo and one in the new OCP pattern. My helmet is an extra large full cut Kevlar ACH. The desert pattern cover fitted tightly but went on with some massaging, the OCP cover just did not fit. I think it was mismarked as large/extra large but was in fact perhaps a smaller size. That cover was replaced and the new one and the new one fits up just like the desert pattern, tight but doable, so to say. In the end both covers went on the helmet but if my helmet was a large they would fit nicely, extra large not so much but doable in the end. As to all other aspects I cannot complain, they look fine, stitching seems good and they work well enough. Well, a little extra material in an extra large size would have made it a cake walk. I know that means money so there you go on the trade off. All in all very good products for the correct size helmets.Posted: May 31, 2020
