The pants are top notch and extremely comfortable. I have to climb on roofs, attics and crawl spaces for my job and these pants exceed my expectations. In addition, the customer service is the best and responsive. I had a defect on a recent purchase and sent out a replacement item immediately after sending a photo of the issue. Great pants! As usual, I bought slight larger than needed, but didn’t need to do that. I need 30x34, but ordered 32x34, because most run small. I would’ve been fine with 30x34. They are not short, either. There is lots of room in the front, maybe too much. I like the side pocket (in the cargo pocket) for the pocket-computer (iPhone) & the extra flashlight pockets on both sides. The regular front pocket pouch is cut so that it doesn’t go behind items in the cargo pocket. They are pricey, but better than the last pant I purchased for just over half the price.Posted: March 5, 2021

These pants are my favorite Tru-Spec pants. They are light weight. They are also so comfortable with a little stretch in the material. I would highly recommend them. Things to keep in mind when buying (I have had these for almost a year) No dividers in the pockets but you will get used to it. I have owned the 24-7 tactical pants which were a bit more durable. If under a year though, Tru-Spec has the best customer service I have experienced. Very fast to respond and really friendly. So when durability is not priority, but comfort is, these would be the way to go. Remember that these are not quite as thick as the 24-7 tactical pants. But still last extremely long.Posted: July 6, 2020

Appear to be good quality; however, upon trying each item on for size ..... nothing fit. Rather than returning for credit or exchange, I choose to donate the product(s) received; to a local charity. For this reason, It is not likely that I will initiate any future orders for your products. Even though I am not favorable of 'online' shopping, I can at least say "I have given it a try"; however, my multiple experiences with IMPORTED clothing PRODUCTS have all been a disappointing .... to me it seems their patterns were not actually intended to be comfortable for the American anatomy ; especially in the seat and crotch areas.Posted: March 27, 2020

I own 6 pairs of these pants, wear them everyday at work. I operate a concrete mixer truck and I’m hard on clothes, these stand up wonderfully and are extremely comfortable. Honestly, best pair of work pants I’ve ever owned and I’ve been doing hard work for 30 years. The comfort waist actually works and I utilize the pockets, designed very well. There are two things that these pants need however. First and foremost, a solid zipper on at least one of the cargo pockets to keep my wallet from falling out as I climb around on equipment. Second, they need to be offered in the heavier fabric that the expedition pants are made from for winter. The ascent are outstanding for warm weather but prove to be too cold for winter. The Expedition pants turned out to be a bunch of bells and whistles I dont need with a tighter cut I don’t like (and front thigh pockets just suck honestly) but the heavier fabric is great for winter work. Ascent pants with a zippered cargo pocket, offered in both heavy and lightweight fabric please. There would be no reason to ever buy any other pants.Posted: November 10, 2019

Greetings, I felt compelled to drop a note to you guys in reference your 24-7 Ascent Pants. It is about time!!! The design of this pants is incredible. First: The Drop In pocket behind each cargo pocket. It holds the smart phone and PLB perfectly Second: The accessory pocket on each hip. It/they hold a folding knife, tactical pen or flashlight. Third: The expandable waist line. Even if you don’t need it, it certainly prevents binding. Forth: The fabric. Wearing these is almost like wearing a pair of PJ's. Fifth: Fit and Cut. These offer a more professional appearance than most tactical cargo pants I have been wearing 5.11, LA Police Gear and other tactical cargo pants for over ten years. Going forward, I can assure you that I will purchase nothing but this pants. I will also recommend these to my associates. MarkPosted: June 18, 2019

Love the pants, I have a black and a tan pair, Wear them every day at work. They are way better than skinny boy 511 pants. I work in a semiconductor fab, they are comfortable and cool in a bunny suit or in subfab where temps are a little high. Dry quick, last long, no fraying or seam stitch popping. I wish the knife and phone pockets were a little deeper, not everyone uses iPhones. I sewed on a ring to the front right belt loop because I like to clip my retractable ID badge holder there and the belt loop is too wide for it. (Good for LEO badges though) I do a lot of fast access to my right cargo pocket so I removed the hook Velcro and sewed the right phone pocket shut cuz I don’t need it. What would be brilliant is if, on the cargo pockets they made the pleats all face back so as you brush past stuff going forward, you stop getting hung up. I had a camp fire sinter pop and burn through the size of a b-b near my leg cuff and a year later, no fraying. I’m gonna buy a few more of these awesome pants and put them away in case they stop making these pants.Posted: January 22, 2019

These pants have a good waist fit for me, and the belt loop design works very nicely. The material and gusseted crotch make for a good long term comfort. The amount and size of pockets allow space for carrying just about anything I need to without feeling crowded. Only downside for me is depending on some movements the thigh space gets a little tight on occasion.Posted: November 28, 2018

I have never before purchased Tru Spec clothing and had decided to try your company out. I had placed an order for several items of clothing and indicated that I needed it shipped 2nd day air so I would have it for a trip. Two days before my trip I left a voicemail inquiring about the status of my order. Stephanie immediately called me back and said that my order had just been shipped but was sent by ground. She sent a second order overnight as well as refunded my original shipping charges as an apology for the mixup. My order arrived as promised and I’ve been wearing my Tru Spec clothing since. Not only do I love the clothes, but I am absolutely sold on your company. Stephanie owned my problem until it was solved and did it with efficiency and a great attitude. I’ve dealt with many other companies through the years and, unfortunately, great customer service has mostly disappeared. I can’t tell you how refreshing it was to have such a positive response from your company. Please ensure this email is seen by your senior executives. Stephanie turned what could have been a very sour experience into an exceptional one and left me with such a positive opinion that I will absolutely be a repeat customer. She made a huge difference and I hope will be recognized for doing a great job. Thank you!Posted: July 30, 2018

Had these pants for 2 months loved wearing them. They were great light weight comfortable and professional looking. However after the 2nd month the button holding them closed pulled through the elasticy material of the waist band rendering them unusable to me in my line of work until I could get them repaired. I hope that this problem is remedied by the company in the next pair that I’m going to buy. I work in the medical field and purchased these pants to wear during work. I bought four pair in different colors. The fit was a bit off on all of them. I normally wear a 36 waist, ordered a 38 to allow space for IWB carry. The elastic meant that even without the pistol, the pants stayed put. The length is way off, I wear 30" inseam with every pair of pants I have bought my adult life. These Truspec 30"were more like a 32" with billows of cloth at my ankles. The big issue was with the waist snap on the brown pair I ordered. It began to fray around the back of the waist snap after only a month or so of owning. Within three months the button had pulled all the way through and the pants were ruined. None of the other colors had this issue. I love the pockets above the cargo pockets, Perfect for mobile phones. I doubt big screen phones will fit though. Over time those extra pockets did stretch though leading to my phone falling out frequently when seated. The gusseted crotch means no squashing the boys if you are in and out of a vehicle constantly or drive a lot. The front pockets are very shallow and have very wide openings. This means stuff falls out of my pockets constantly. The pockets are also too shallow and wide to conceal a sub-compact pistol for pocket carry. The grip of my Sig P290RS showed clearly in the wide pocket opening. The pocket openings are so wide that none of the pocket holsters I could find grabbed enough to stay in the pocket during draw. You can slip an entire holstered 290RS in a Desantis Superfly into the pocket and out without hitting the sides of the opening.Posted: February 3, 2017

I have been wearing the 65/35 teflon coated 24-7's for a couple of years now and wanted to try something else. They did not disappoint - the 'mechanical stretch' fabric makes it worth the price of admission, very light and so comfortable just wearing them or doing anything physical. I also really like the vertical pockets set behind the cargo pockets. Since these do not have the internal pockets of the 24/7 it is a good trade off. The reinforced knife pockets should be the new standard as it seems much stronger and less prone to just wearing out and getting a hole at the bottom. My only true gripe is with the slash pockets - they are cut lower and with a larger opening while the pocket itself is almost too shallow, compared to the 24/7's, which makes it much easier for things to slide out - it has happened once thus far, but I was at home. So if you are looking for a very comfortable summer-weight (I wore them all winter as well) pant to swap for 24/7's you would do well to give them a try.Posted: July 13, 2016
