I use this fleece over a long sleeve button up. or over a long sleeve base layer, or just over a t-shirt. I originally bought this to optimize the GENII ECWCS PARKA I have. This polar fleece zips right into it, both working together in synergy to block and shield you from the cold allowing your body to retain it's heat. I will say this, if you have the PARKA and haven't acquired this yet, you should. That is the main reason I bought this. Nice fleece. Fits trim, so if it shrinks, then I'm in trouble. But looks good and is quite comfortable.
